Useful Information

 

Below you’ll find some useful information about making a booking with us. If there is anything else you’d like you to know before visiting Royal Albion Walton, then please do not hesitate to contact us.

 

Making a booking.

A 20% non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of making a reservation. This is non-refundable in the event of cancellation for any reason.   The remaining 80% of your reservation cost is payable 14 days before day of arrival. If your card proves to be invalid or is declined, we will attempt to contact you for alternative card details. In the event, we are unable to contact you for any reason Royal Albion Walton reserves the right to cancel your reservation and you will forfeit the 20% nonrefundable deposit.

 

Check-in time:

Check-in is between 3 pm and 7 pm. Please be aware we have no facility to accept late check in’s after 8 pm and accept no liability or offer any reimbursement if you arrive late and cannot check-in.

Departure

We ask that you check out by 10.30am on the day of departure.

Payment methods:

Cash and all major credit and debit cards are accepted. We no longer accept personal cheques.  We do not store the financial details of our guests. We do not share information with any other person or organisation  ???????

Cancellation policy:

By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract.

Cancellations will be charged based on the number of days before the date arrival within which notice of cancellation is received as follows:

0-14 days: 100% of the reservation value.

14+ Days Loss of 20% non-refundable deposit

 

The cancellation charges will be applied from the date that we receive your cancellation notice. We aim to acknowledge your cancellation notice within 48 hours. A cancellation reference will be given and must be retained as proof of cancellation.

It is advisable to take out an insurance policy against cancellation, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.

In the case of non-arrival or departure earlier than originally booked you are still liable to pay the booking in full.

Parking:

There is limited on-site parking, this is subject to parking enforcement so please ensure you obtain a parking permit on arrival. We cannot issue permits before midday on the day of arrival. We accept no liability and will not seek cancellation of any parking tickets issued. Cars are left at owners’ risk.

Room Allocation:

The proprietor reserves the right to offer an alternative room to the one reserved.

Smoking/Vaping

We are a non-smoking/vaping bed and breakfast establishment. Should you choose to ignore this policy, you will be asked to leave and charged in full for your entire stay plus an additional £100 for specialist cleaning to your room.

By making this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

The following conditions apply to all bookings made with Royal Albion Walton, whether by phone, email, or online.

Prices

The price includes room-only accommodation. We accept the following forms of payment:

Debit or Credit Card.

We no longer accept personal cheques.

Cancellation

By making your booking our agreement is a legal contract.

Cancellations will be charged based on the number of days before the date of arrival within which notice of cancellation is received as follows:

Non-availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival

Your accommodation will be available for you to check in from 3:00pm on the day of arrival unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your rooms; however, you can always leave your bags with us from midday.

Late arrival procedure

Please ensure you contact us no later than 6 pm to let us know if you will be arriving later than 6 pm.

Departure

Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10.30 am on the day of departure.

 

Damages and breakages

Please take extra care when staying on our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents that occur.

We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge if you do not report this.

Loss of Keys

There is a cost of £100 for loss of keys.

Smoking/vaping

We are a non-smoking and non-vaping bed and breakfast. Should you choose to ignore this policy, you will be asked to leave and charged in full for your entire stay plus an additional £100 for specialist cleaning.

Additional Cleaning

If your room or its contents need additional cleaning caused by accident or negligence by yourself or other guests, we reserve the right to charge you an additional fee.

Unacceptable behavior

The proprietors reserve the right to amend, curtail or terminate any contract should the conduct of any person who is a party to that contract cause any detriment to the well-being or comfort of other guests.

Parking

There is a council pay and display car park opposite our property. Cars are left at owners’ risk.

Free Wi-Fi Access

We offer FREE Wi-Fi access, allowing you to check your emails and surf the web via your laptop or mobile phone. Downloading large content from the web is not permitted [e.g. TV, videos, music].

We will not be liable if for any reason the Service is not available at any time or for any period. Access to the service may be suspended at any time.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Privacy Policy

Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s). With your permission we may from time to time contact you about promotions and offers. We will not share your details with any third party.

Access Statement

Accessibility Statement for Royal Albion Walton

. We are a non-smoking and non-vaping bed and breakfast.

The property was built circa 1890 and whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests there are some period features that might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. All bedrooms are located on the First and Second floors, with access only from the stairs. We have no ground-floor bedrooms.

Pre-Arrival

  • The nearest bus stop is 0.1 miles away
  • The nearest railway station is 0.8 miles away
  • The nearest shops are 0.2 miles away
  • There is a local taxi company, we can make bookings for you in advance

The website shows pictures of our accommodation and further information about the services we provide. You can contact us by telephone, text, or email.

  • We escort all guests to their rooms on check-in
  • All bedrooms have smoke detection heads connected to the fire alarm which is monitored.
  • The evacuation procedure is displayed in all rooms. In the event of a fire, the fire alarm will sound. Please follow evacuation procedures.
  • There is fire extinguishers on all floors.
  • CCTV is in operation throughout the building for the safety and security of our guests and team members.

Additional information

As we are an Accommodation and Event’s venue, we do hold regular events such as birthday parties, wedding receptions, etc. These can take place until midnight.
